ECOLABEL
Bastide du Calalou was eco-labelised on 1st october 2009.
The European Ecolabel distinguishes products answering to strict criterias of performance and environmental quality. Each product goes through a test on environmental conformity and results are certified by an independent organisation. The certificate guarantees that your location uses energy in an effective manner, respects the natural environment and offers you all it takes to profit from your holidays.
The ecolabelised hotel respects the environment by using renewable energies, reducing water consumption, reducing the quantity of wastes and by training their staff to adopt an ecological behaviour. An eco-labelised hotel is therefore “naturally” better.

The league for the birds’protection is today one of the first associations protecting the nature in France.
Bastide du Calalou is, as member , fully acting to protect animal species, preserve their natural landscape, installing birds’ nests with food, biodiversifying plantations for the sake of birds and butterflies.

Association Française des Maîtres Restaurateurs
The title results from a joint willingness from the State and the professionals to identify and give value to restaurant owners who have professional and recognized experience and are engaged into working on raw and fresh products only.
The title is given by the State, through their prefects, based on a study of the establishment done by an independent organisation.
